I believe that there should be an option to seal corner posts. There are no real reason in building walls if you cant seal them. (STOP!!) Dont say, "Put a claim up". Some people have massive walls, and that's not always possible. Just makes sense to me.. Even if someone has a claim up, that does not really stop someone that's dedicated. If someone goes through the trouble of building a wall just for some troll to walk buy and wall him in, its sad. Give us the option to seal the corner posts..

There is also no reason to build walls with how ez is it to break in but people still do.

Having massive walls and no claim is just stupid and will be your own fault if someone gates you in.

So its stupid to build big villages? We have claims. We have claims on all fences. But just not on the other corner post's. This isn't just for my benefit. The title is ideals and innovations right? Tell me that the option to be able to seal your own corner post's is stupid.. I worked to build it, I should be able to protect it. Claim's are not the answer for everything. Move along Sir..

I've been in the largest village recorded in salem. trust me sealing corner post is not on the list of problems with this game.

Pro-tip: Don't build walls that you can't break yourself

Yes, it just takes longer. The brazier buff helped since it takes longer and you eat more fire but fact of the matter is, you'll still do damage with 24 phl to a stone wall

The main problem that I see with any seige mechanic that doesn't have a timer (like rams) is that everyone is forced into the combat aspect of the game if they like it or not. In Haven is was very possible to play peacefully for a year + and never get into pvp if you're smart and do proper wall checks. But with the current system you either learn to fight (with poor combat) or simply roll over and die/spam alts.

I'd gladly pay 4 iron bars per wall segment for metal walls that required a 24h battering ram to break into any day

Indeed. I always suspected timing was a bigger problem.

It could be seen as a problem for people who aren't used to it, but the timer promotes factions. With the main base safe because of ram checks, factions are able to rise and more fights outside of the walls actually take place. Tracking online, chases, REAL KAMBERT, all take place with walls that can't be raided while you sleep. Presently it's just a summon spam/eye-for-an-eye fest and that's the reason why we only have one faction on any given server. Growing villages are wiped out and large villages thrive because they can afford to be active 24/7. Look at Ainran. 5 guys? They were able to cause all kinds of drama to major factions with over triple their numbers. Things like that can't happen here because one scent and you're surrounded and slowly raided into nothing.
