There might be some skills that would need not only certain levels of proficiencies, but some Unique items. These items might be foraged, crafted, bought, stolen from other players or a combination of those.
For example:
Small game of the Lumber-wood hunting
"bla bla bla."
- bla
A skill that lets you to attack little creatures of the darkness. Requires a Unique inspirational (some body parts of a hide-behind, turkey feather, ink and a sketch-book (bought from stalls), maybe some other stuff).
Hide-behind body parts may be found in the darkness like indian feathers and arrowheads.

Could be reworked a bit :
Each skill has a "checklist" of 1-3 inspirationals. If these are used cost to learn the skill is reduced IF the original proficiencies are met.
A nice example : Horticulture (Farmers bane)
Give it a requirement of a sunny sunflower, spooktacular and wild oats. If a player uses all three of these at any time (after having met the 75 stocks and cults and the 45 nat phil) then LEARNING hort would only take filling the bars up to 6000 S&C and 3000 NP respectively.

This is already planned for the skill that gives access to witchcraft. I see no reason why it couldn't be implemented for other high end skills as well. Cannot really see why though.

If it reduces the max it would make it less tedious and stupid.
