Wound

An extra combat ability gained with Cain an Able.

Effect : Reduces all humours of the target by 25%, reduces an additional random proficiency by 2 (slightly favouring higher proficiencies), leaves no additional crime scent (to give it an edge over murder), teleports the victim to boston instantly.


Why we need this : Currently the only option to deter raiders is to kill them, thus leaving a scent you can be summoned with later on. This option gives defenders a way to hit back at raiders, isn't too punishing to newer raiders and also gives raiders a less final option than killing you.

You can summon people with the evidence from assault , or any other crime, as well, only difference is that murder evidence lasts longer.

Yup except if you are attacked and knock your attacker out no crime scent is left.

sounds terrible. i doubt the devs will ever have something in game that doesn't leave a scent after committing a crime.

In the US you can kill someone in self defense and it would never reach a court.

Were is your point ?

because thats not true in every state and every situation.

Nothing says "kill me" like wounding an enemy and letting them go on their way.

What doe US law have to do with the argument? This game isn't based on US law (or any modern, civilized law) but a much older, terrible tradition. For that matter, isn't self defense/defense of others one of the few legitimate defenses of manslaughter around the world?

If you kill someone in self defense (on your own land) no scents should ever be dropped by the land owner / defender. Thats what im getting at. This way, you should be weary of friendly invites into someones dwelling. Sure the person you killed knows were live and can come back for revenge, but being able to summon kill the land owner, just because they killed a raider is stupid if you ask me.

this game is very raider friendly. Kill a raider on your own land ? NP, they will come back summon kill you and take your **** after anyways when your offline.
