Request: Affiliate Program / Referral system

Postby daopa » Mon Jan 14, 2013 6:20 pm

Request: Affiliate Program / Referral system.

Give us a special URL with a Affiliate ID to supply possible referrals to the game. If they make any pay store purchases, give some credit to the affiliate - maybe something like a novelty item of sorts. Or even something like a affiliate token for the pay store that gives credit after a certain number of tokens.

Thanks

btw - Paradox Interactive doesnt seem to know what a Affiliate program is ..

People will just invite themselves to get goodies.

These things can work if done right, and what's wrong with a person "inviting themselves" to get the goodies?

In the way proposed so far it seems that Paradox is not getting extra money through those referrals, and sending them to yourself becomes default when buying something from the store. Want to buy something? Send referral to yourself, make new account, buy in its name and trade to your main.

Just because the initial write-up of a proposal is bad doesn't mean the idea itself is bad.

You should get something even if those that refer you manage to get high skills. It would help get the population up.

Bumping this for new dev / management to take a look see if this sort of a thing is something they will consider.
