How Rope bridges would work.
A bridge will be buildable across a max gap of 12~14 tiles, must be built from both sides to complete, and soil on either side requires will be 3x2 flat, and be the same height to meet in the middle.
Requires:
Pulleys & leavers > Bridge building
First you have to flatten land on each side to a 3x2 grid and the same height.
Then you would build the start of a bridge pedestal on either side.
The construction sign would be 3x3, and would hang 1 tile over the gap / lower terren. (Yes you can build one of these bridges on perfectly flat land to test.)
Once this is built, you would then extend your bridge section by section upto a max of 5-6 ? before it stops. Once you have done this from each side, you will be able to join it in the middle. (You will not be able to build sections if the land becomes raised)
To build a bridge would require Dry boards, oiled boards, Planed boards, Lots of rope.
This would allow players to build bridges across simple rivers and in mountain areas.
If the bridge is only 5-6 tiles across, then no middle part is needed.
