Doorpumps and vendors

A few ideas I got after playing this amazing game.
Doorpumps - Probably not invented at the time, but doors auto closing behind us would be wonderful for us lazy types, especially when dragging sleds. 2-3 second delay could work.
Vendors that can be put as wall segments - this would make villagers who are confident about their defences maybe build roads leading to other cities and maybe even boston for increased trade. Also a slight speed bonus for walking on paved roads might further encourage this.

I like both those ideas... ignore the troll
The second idea sadly only really makes sense if boston didnt exist, but speed bonus on roads would be really cool.

about boston beeing the only place for trading... I think a dedicated and well defended village could compete with bostons trade monopoly. Also smaller scale trade between local villages would be nice. Also for large villages it would be nice to have vendors for trade between citizens.

You mean like
this thread?

I get the road part and such, but not sure what you mean by "vendors that can be put as wall segments". Do you mean adding something, such as the barter stands in Haven & Hearth, that you could sit outside the walls of your town so others in the area or that came by could trade?

in colonial williamsburg almost all of the gates have a large round weight chained to the gates that pulls the gate closed when you go through it, these were period correct and most are original to the town.

I'm not being a troll nor I believe that only positive criticism should be posted..
Juz saying that so much more sensible things could be implemented in the game(like pigs or weapons and armor with stats) instead of doorpumps(which is 1 way of saying "I AM TOO LAZY TO MAKE 1 CLICK WHEN I GO THROUGH GATES SO CHANGE THE GAME PLOXXXXXXXXXXX")
and such a pneumatic(I assume) device is hardly fitting for the era of the game...
and claim vendors? come on,no one in their right mind would walk such a long distance to check a vendor...nor would anyone pave such a long way... this is juz silly..

They would and have in HnH. With building a community in the area there is alot of opportunity for trading
