The food you need a particular stat should be based on that stat's level not the highest stat level. This game has plenty of features that make the game hard and I am all for it, but the devs are just shooting themselves in the food by keeping this around. Personally I read up and got my stats closer to each other in time, but met in game plenty of people who not realizing this have 20 stats differences. I don't see the point of letting people gimp themselves right off the bat . All you do is lose customers and keep around a feature that is pointless.

20 stat differences are manageable. 30 is the no return point for someone not dedicated to grinding it out.

The point is one of balancing. Rather than let people abuse easy stats, all stats are linked to your lowest (and usually the hardest to grind). The problem is if you uncouple that requirement, the stat system would need to be completely rebalanced again.

I'm not really for or against this stat system, but I don't think someone making mistakes on it is the end of the world. People usually realize they're doing it wrong by the 20 stat difference point and stop rather than continue eating.

Depends on if you are set up to cook farmed/baked goods or not. I would say that 30 is not that big of a difference. Now if you were at 200 in one stat, while the others were at like 50...then that would be a huge problem. When making new alts, the first thing I do is just pump Black Bile to 60+ and leave the rest at 5 while I study and make food for other stats.

If you are a noob, eating noob foods, then yeah it can be a pain..but with enough playing you can get all the farming/foraging skills easily enough that it doesnt really matter in the long run.

I like the unforgiving mini game with the stats, but one thing I really don't get, and actualy get pretty angry for, is the layout of the event information.

It says nowhere in the game what the event numbers are, or that they'r even significant for gluttony. And once you read up on it on the wiki you get easily confused.
The problem in my eyes is that you don't see that the 16 numbers are divided in vertical columns, you instincly think that the colours are your biles and that the devs for some reason made the event colour for Phlegm blue or something. But nothing tells you what the numbers stand for.
And as I said, once you read up on it and see that there are four verical columns you think the logical order (atleast I did) is that the first column is Phlegm, the second is Blood, the third is Yellow Bile, and the fourth is Black Bile (like you'd read a book). Instead you'v made it some kind of horizontal, u-turn, bended pattern which I don't find logical.

I'v thought of making a seperat thread about this but just wanted to give you heads up on what I find problematic about the system. I like the system, but it could be layed out so much clearer without ruining the hard core-no helping hand aspect of it.

And also, why is Black Bile displayed as green and Phlegm as black/gray? Seems like they should switch colours.. (As Phlegm is some kind of stamina which in many games is displayed as green)

Yellow is another stamina favoured colour.

I agree about the colours though. They really need a pallet that doesn't overlap in the slightest because it seems intuitive that the coloured event should line up with the stat somehow.

Yeah.. But I'm talking about Black Bile being green and Phlegm being Black, the Yellow Biles' yellow colour makes sense.
Please don't tell me that Black Bile is the yellow bar and Yellow Bile being the green bar............... lol
