The thing with the pyramid and the eye, it would be cool if by default it was a closed eye and it opened up and maybe played a sound when a skill is acquirable, and also to be able to set it to alert if a specific skill is acquirable or a proficiency can be increased.

Well, to begin with, you might want to try the right-arrow in the study window's title bar. I think it goes a long way towards that which you want. :)
