Hire Ender

How can you now have hired or bought the guy who makes the Ender client? Even Heaven & Hearth had a Ender client that worked way better than the original..

Only problem is the Ender client crashes with JAVA 7, something I hoped your standard could fix if you could just make it as advanced as Ender.

No hating.. just torn and a bit frustrated because of the desicion of either using a lame client that runs or an awesome one that crashes.

I think this a matter between Ender and devs. Did you even ask Ender if he wants to be hired and got his permission to post this?

New non-jnlp build seems to have rectified the situation:

It's been a while, but I'm fairly certain ender mentioned to me that he prefers this client modding thing as a hobby not a job. Was back when I was making arguments against having a very uncompetitive vanilla client.

I was just making a point, not implying that seatribe should kidnap ender :P but I'm just hoping they improve the customization of the ui.
The new update for ender worked fine for the 20 min i played last night, hopefully it works fine 100%. Somebody should make it more accessible for the public thought, like a sticky in the Mod section of the forum

From another new players stand point, I played the game for about 24 hours before getting the Ender Client at midnight yesterday... and playing on the Ender Client pissed me off and left me kind of disappointed on just how much the vanilla client is missing. Ender Client leaves people with a huge advantage over the vanilla client.. to such an extent that the 24 hours I had spent the last couple of days could have tripled or quadrupled my ability to start-up skills, items, and ability to establish a firm base of operations.

And two active topics...

From my point of view, giving one mod a sticky over others makes it more visible and lends some credibility to it, which is really against the policy that's been posted.

The good news is: as long as the mods are actively worked on, they'll stay active and remain the top few posts.

Yeah maybe you're right about that.. Didn't realize there are more clients :P I tried one out but it wouldn't work for me!

Anyhow, Seatribe.. keep working on that UI! ^^
