So you are afraid someone will build one next to you and shoot you?
Well, it's only 8 steel bars and some cheap **** to make one... plus the ammo.
You may want to consider, it does NOT kill you, only KO, so you don't really need to fear, also, if you are not afk, it should be pretty hard to hit you with it.

also if u have walls? they can KO you trough walls but not kill they would still need to break in.

Literally nerfed raiding to hell, and this guy wants to ***** even more how an item meant for defenders needs to be even more in their favor by having to be on their claimed land.

It'll be used/abused by Raiders more than Defenders ever will.
Already hinting on lockpicking- so don't bother with walls.
Seems a gimme to the handful of uber powerful that have been with the game forever; alas I hope they love each other enough to play alone. Essentially where this will take it.
This patch seems aimed at running off folks who would otherwise play and spend money.

Lockpicking will not be what you think it will.

One hopes to be surprised.
As for Mortar Cannon...and Walls in general.
I can't say for the mechanic as I'm not a Raider; but just building the thing.
Any chance to reduce the prof required to get to the point were we can make Blistersteel?
I think you've made the grind big enough as is... but 'newer' players won't be able to start until their at that ridiculous level of Sparks/Embers. Even the glorious new 'defensive' mortar tool needs 8 Blistersteel.

well it's hardly something a newer player needs access to.
It should definitely be something they look forward to.
imho the lower walls were always too easy to get (stone hedge/plank fence, even brick wall you can get up in a couple of days of playing, if you know what you are doing).

Players can buy it with a day or so of silver grinding.

24 hours of silver grinding to make 6400 silver? Rumor has it that's the going price for Blistersteel.
Wow- missed that in the Player handbook.
I'll look again.
