BM madness, an idea

You know, you get +2 madness while being online when a BM occurs, which is kinda bad because it is hard to even keep track of when that could happen.

Now, on the other hand, we don't get anything when its gone ...why?

Idea:

1.) If a char is online at the end of a BM, that char gets -2 madness. (likely high remaining insanity though)
Would give some incentive to stay online during a BM and maybe lead to more deaths, but so what...^^

2.) If a char is online at the end of a BM, and in the church in providence, and praying there (heard that makes a BM end sooner), then you get -2 madness and insanity set to zero, or -3 madness or whatever...

anytime you lose madness you insanity will stay the same unless you do something to reduce it

1.) I said this intentionally, meaning, to encourage people to not just stand afk in their pilgrims hovel and wait for the BM end, counting daisys once an hour, it should be set to a high ammount.

2.) When reducing madness with a teddy, it can happen that you go to bed with zero insanity and x madness lvls, wake up with x-1 madness, but will regain it within a few minutes if you dont reduce insanity, therfore what you said would be wrong. (Here I need to note, I never experienced that myself, but heard it repeatedly from friends.)

1. So you want to change how madness and insanity work, you should of clarified that

2. I also heard if you circle around you bed 3 times and eat a cooked turkey you are immune to madness for 3 days(Here I need to note, I never experienced that myself, but heard it repeatedly from cleaty.)

a bloodmoon is supposed to be "scary" and this would completely nullify the point of gaining insanity to begin with when they happen.

Yea, sure, and encouraging people to see the end of it makes no sense and does not actually put them in danger for a reward. -.-

Seriously, BM madness is one of the most random and pointless things in this game, let alone for the fact that is is highly random if you "get" it or not.
Putting up something to balance it, and also putting in some risk, is about the 2nd best you can do here, right after removing it.

Or they could make it so a Bloodmoon takes 5-10 minutes to activate while giving small hints and signs that its coming instead of, "BOOM" Heres the bloodmoon, enjoy.

That would be too easy.

Just because you don't understand BM doesn't mean it's pointless. There are many reasons for everyone to benefit from BMs. I think BMs can be predicted. If we had someone recording that data in a calendar I'm sure we would have some great info on it.
