Salem got a lot of features that have disastrous consequences that can catch you off guard the first time you encounter them. Fortunate is the one who avoid the KO-loop on their first bat encounter for example. After that first time you'll usually be able to deal with things like that much easier though.

That didn't work, it just begin to eat my food, wood, then my tools. And I got KO pretty quickly with low health and you can't drop a thing while KO'd, just watch your loot burn.
