multiple server types

Forgive me, I took a break from Salem for a bit and I am not sure why the game did a server merge, went down to one server, so if I missed a thread I apologize.

With that said, has there been talk of different servers? Server types? A non- murder server perhaps where cash shop costs twice a much and the store pays half as much? Greater KO penalties? I realize the push to make the game more extreme and not being motivated by money but is there a true aversion to money and giving a broader base of players enjoyment or something else? I'm not suggesting eliminate character death just curious if any alternatives have been discussed. Salem is not a game you can ever really take a break from, but I realize as I age commitments change as well as play time. There is a huge time investment in these characters and at times I do wish the risk reward was a bit different. I was a long time UO player. .loved full loot pvp. .even lagging and losing your gear or bring fully prepared before risking yourself against a tough monster so I'm a great fan of this game and the journey so far.

There will be expeditions, but they're mostly just going to be special servers that close every 3 months.

So kind of like themed dungeons/instances?

Nah, like new server where you compete on an accelerated rate. Also brings back spoils to main server. Mercantilism kind of thing.
Devs said the server gonna stay as long as the players can keep it alive from the witches.

There will never be a pve server.

Soon there will be expeditions which will open new servers with different rules and scenarios that will last a certain amount of time. You should look through john's post and see what he has said so far.

3 months is wrong, I believe the players will influence how long it lasts, presumably by what they get up to.

Depends on the expedition. It was estimated to be around 3 months.
