Server side replays for epic battles

Assuming the server knows every click and move a player made, would it be possible to create a replay system for specific epic battles?
Of course devs could choose what to hide(mini-map, biles, damage) and just show what they think it's entertaining.
With all the server info they have one could have multiple "cameras" for an epic broadcast.

it's too bad, all of the major factions play like ***** *******

I don't have a lot of experience with servers and technical issues but in my understanding that would put a huge load on the servers and wouldn't be pratical/econimically suitable for the one battle every month or so. I'm sure though that some of the participants of the said battles could open a stream or record the whole battle.

No offence, but you have no idea how long a siege can last. Just to cite an example, Juda v Thorop went about 4 days I think... Nobody is going to go back and watch all that, let alone the room needed to store it all. Even edited down, the action in this game isn't thrilling to watch
