Deep Threat Suggestions

Having only played this game a short amount of time and just barely getting a feel for it there are small things here and there that I think "That might be nice/cool/realistic" So I figured I would just drop a few of the ideas here and see what everyone thinks, if you disagree with something (or everything for that matter) all I ask is that we keep things respectful and talk it out, responses will be answered accordingly. With that being said EVERYONE's opinion matters and if you disagree I would actually like for you to explain why you disagree so that we can better understand each other.
My first idea is a mailing system, a way to send items/messages to other players. I know some people might be thinking "Why would we need to send messages through a mailing system?" And the answer is pretty simple, not all of us are able to remain logged on until someone returns or gets on. A mailing system would be a nice way to contact players you're not able to contact often. The catch would be it would need to be a skill learned. Someone simple after settling of course, you could build a mailbox that you check periodically, people could steal your mail (I just think it'd be an interesting addition) but it would be a summonable crime. I was reading soon there will be a weight system instead, items sent based on weight could cost x amount of silver to send and depending on speed (instant, 30 minutes, 1 day, 3 day) how much silver is spent, the formula could be weight multiplied by speed. Simple written letters would be free and instant. A few things that could come with this;
Mailbox Secret ~ This way nobody can send you random letters
Postal Service - This would be of the sorts, maybe not like a real modern looking one but with a few horses out back to look a little legit. You could bring what you want mailed to the postal service to enter in their MS and pay the necessary silver to send the package.
Mailbox - The only way to accept letters/items and can be attacked/looted
Mailmen - I'm thinking an NPC that delievers the item and can be attacked and looted, not sure how to make this punishable maybe a way to "Start investigation for X amount of silver" to see who could have tampered. But I'm thinking a random 1 hour walk from the mailbox, I'm not sure how you'd program that but it would need to be 1 hour away and still able to path find the entire trip to said mailbox. 3 days would be 1 hour a day for 3 days in random locations close by, 1 day is just 1 hour, 30 minutes you'd be paying a lot of silver for just 30 minutes away.
My next idea is a sort of recovery idea, I know we have food to rejuvenate but we are neglecting hands down the best way to recovery and that's sleep! I know it may sounds silly but hear me out. What about the addition of sleeping bags? It could start small with sleeping bags but I'll use sleeping bags right now just to get the idea across. The sleeping bag would allow a player to rest until all humors are full (This could be anywhere from 1-10 minutes) you'd right click the sleeping bag, press rest and the entire screen would go black (or make it fun and give like a dream, maybe an ad to help bring in revenue because I'm thinking of you guys) and all you can see are your humors. You have the ability to wake up whenever in case you feel you're in danger but if the character actually laid down under a sleeping bag that would be awesome. There could be different types of sleeping bags for different types of biomes, allowing camoflauge from snakes/bears/other players (Though keep in mind it won't be a really good hiding spot but it could keep you hidden from other players). It would be a craftable item under clothing and equipment and a skill would need to be added in order to craft. This idea gives room for much more though, it's expandable. For example portable tents instead of backpacks, allowing for maybe a little more storage than a backpack but the ability to rest without a sleeping bag (Would need to carry tent as a backpack until set up) inside could be a cooking/hunting/forging set up. Though it'd be specific, once constructing the tent you have to choose what kind of a tent it will be. Hunting will give a cooking area, maybe a drying rack, forging would give additional storage or whatnot. So like I said, it's an expandable idea that could progress past sleeping bags.
Anyway these are all my ideas for now, I'll be sure to update more as I continue to play but these are just a few main things I think would be a great addition to the game.
