Built like a normal mine, but on lime quarry. It may be produced lime boulders the same way as ore boulders in ordinary mines. Lime is the only "finite" resource now and it's very awkward to look for a new quarry and transported lime through Providence.

Sounds like you just use excessive amounts of lime. Its good that lime becomes harder to spam.
I think that allowing us to build cliffs so its a little easier to build open pit quarries would be a better solution.

Not to mention that it would be quite impossible for the "Lime Seas" around Limersfront to ever to be exhausted. Lime is not a 'finite' resource.

Yes, we only need to deliver the lime from Limersfront to our towns. I meant lime around player's base. It is possible to get unlimited ore from the mine, grow unlimited number of trees for coal clamps, but when supply of lime in the area runs out it is just awful. So the possibility to produce lime without fear that it would end would be great.

How about you just conserve your lime, there should be more resources that more limited.

How can I conserve lime, if it is required for production of iron and fertilize fields? Sooner or later, any stock of lime will be exhausted.

Lime is not needed for fields, you just need to level your S&C or plant another field.
Lime is needed for very little and with the huge boulders lime pits provide even a moderate sized lime pit should be able to last you a very long time if you are not wasteful.

Think of it this way: lime is finite, but coal is infite.
Instead of boosting plenty on your fields, you could boost speed instead.
Coal > Lime.

just dump mountains of humus on your field. youll increase plenty and influence alike.
have a couple of bushes for composting and you are all set.
