Rope Bridges

I searched the forums to see if this had been suggested and as far as I can tell, the only bridge suggested have been water bridges. But what about rope bridges... for the mountainous areas. Usually, those plateaus are too small to live on individually, but if you could connect them with rope briges (two rope and the number of boards would vary depending on length) that would be awesome. Be like Thunderbluff from wow :) This would also provide a different means of "defense". I haven't thoroughly explored the mountain regions b/c I've only just gotten the skills and humours to do so.

But, this would be fun to implement I believe.

Bridges are bridges. Could be used to span water, could be used to span peaks.... ;)

well, I was thinking straight wood and stone bridges for water, and actual rope bridges for the mountain areas :)

If worked out nicely this can be a fun extra and useful thing in the game :)

Could lead to cool structures/town organization. I would love to live on a village on a mountain.

Fine suggestion, I would like it.

Okay, it's probably way down the priority list at this moment.

love the idea of a rope bridge, but think it might require more than 2 ropes, would take 4 for a basic bridge(2 lower to suport boards 2 upper to keep you from falling over), and should possibly have more materials needed for the anchors.

you'd also need to define a maximum length for a bridge(5 tiles?)...longer than that and you'd want something sturdier than a rope bridge, since the longer they are the more they sway and can even flip over on you.

It'd be really cool, unfortunately the map format is not actually in 3d, I'm afraid. It's just a 2d map with height.
