Humors Caps

Salem is going to see some siege engine, and other stuff to prevent using your hurmors like a bull to do things.
Why not capping the humors to 100 and then food will add boost during a certain time ( like buffing in others games ) ?
Cause you could always boost the beasts, the bears, all you wanna boost, if this humors still in a persistant growing...no beast, no wall, nothing will be strong enough to keep the highest players interested....cause lack of challenge in end game.

Want to make a bear hunt a challenge ? Cap the humors. And this is just an example.

Okay, 70 results for Humor Caps ( no one is really speaking about capping the stats...), but perhaps you could show me the thread ?

It's your job to check for other threads about your idea before you post it, not ours. This has been talked about many many times, and everyone who has raided or played for any amount of time, including the new developers, agrees a humor cap is a bad idea. Especially so low as 100.

No, the solution is to make it less safe to raid by doing things like removing the waste claim and reducing the power of defenses. Believe me, if someone knows they might log on to find their 400 to all character summon killed at any time, they won't be building their humors that high.

Hopefully the reducing of defenses and general facilitation of break ins won't however mean that anyone can just wreck your infrastructure in the middle of the night though. Risk and permadeath are fun and all, but I don't have the time to rebuild my infrastructure every other day, even if i've never left a scent and will likely never see a summon kill.

Edit : That is to say, break in, steal, even put in extra effort to purposefully cripple your enemy, but I hope leisurely full-town demolitions will never be a thing. So I hope they can balance their idea of accessible raiding with some level of prevention from overzealous demolitioners :)

Exactly.

The devs have already stated that there are / will be two main mechanics to prevent the established factions from being dominant permanently.

1: Guns. I believe the muskets deal a percentage damage. Even someone with 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 blood can be dropped by a few noobs with guns scoring a bunch of good hits.
This makes EVERY half decently equipped group dangerous for even the most powerful characters.

2: The devs have stated they want Safety to be non-existant in Salem. Everyone should be raidable. This is not yet implemented so details aren't available but going by the spirit of what the devs have said so far it means even the most powerful can be raided by other groups so building characters up to incredible power just to be "invincible" could simply be ended by a summon kill.

In short, assuming the devs can implement these ideas properly, there will be little point in spending months to grind out extreme stat characters for raiding.
