Can it or is it posible to make your own landscape with rivers / lakes? ifnot maybe an idea to implement is will be fun for more creative players

I would love to take the little river next to me and surround my base. I also dream of making a trench maze around my base.

No, it's not possible to do teraforming with water features. It has been suggested a few times, though.
