I know a lot of people are gonna hate this suggestion and it may border on the permadeath rule but. what if the stall sells exorbinatly expensive life insurance and it lets u leave your skills and humors to a new character if u die while it is active. I'm thinking like ahhhhhhhh 1/10 your proficiency +100 for every skill u bought and 20* all humors. It would last a set time and then expire and need to be purchased at an updated price based on your skill gain. I know permadeath is a mechanic but it still sucks to rebuild a character from the ground up. Seriously i don't have the stats but id bet the #1 reason for people leaving the game is losing a main character. Plus if u want a silver sink this could eat up huge chunks. it doesn't even technically defy permadeath as it would be a new character. speaking of which 6k proficiency in c&d to kill people? are u trying to get every new player killed without recourse?

The cost of murder will be adjusted in a way that we will expect to bring much hate and tears. As for the insurance. If you are saying a small fraction of return, then certainly, we are already working on adjusting the inheritance system in that direction. If you are saying FULL restore while some magical insurance policy is active, then absolutely not.
