The ability to trespass with out committing a crime, destroy structures, and lift objects while mounted should be removed.

If fact- that's a bug. A big one.

Are you sure your 'rent' was paid up?

Post again in the correct forum thread and/or send an message to JohnCarver...

Tresspassing without crime is the same as canoeing onto somebodies claim when they have it extended over river. Once off the horse you are locked to their claim without tresspass so I didn't see too much of a difference. I suppose destroy and lift could be adjusted but they very much trigger larceny and waste.

We plan on putting in Horseback Riding to be a higher level skill in the future, so these nice things you are doing from your horse will be something that feels a bit more earned in the future.

Hopefully its a much more end game skill than the current new end game skills...100 or 200 in a skill don't seem like much to people that play often. I have not hard core leveled skills but I could easily see 100-200 not to hard. Considering I read threads where people in last world had over 1,000, yeah.

The difference is that a canoe has limited use during a raid. The ability to bypass trespassing crimes, attack structures while having the speed to quickly dodge out of brazier fire or away from charging defenders, and lift any liftable object and carry it off with out any reduction in speed is very powerful.

You don't feel that a single stomp, dismounting the aggressor, locking him to your claim, and generally upsetting his strategy was a good enough offsetting adjustment? Its not that we didn't think of this, but more that we made dismounting a player as easy as it is so that there was still good risk to it. I could be all wet here, but it did seems like mounted harassment was going to be a tad bit risky. I can definitely see the issue with pulling stuff off people claims at full speed though, will investigate.

Horses are plenty fast enough to evade any defenders. This will cause raiders to fall back anytime defenders come out to fight but they already do that since no one wants to get in a fight while under brazier fire. The ability to destroy structure while still mounted is, in my opinion, the least problematic of the issues I listed though and if horse riding was an end game skill that would go a long way towards balancing it. The main issues are the abilities to carry objects at full speed and to violate land rights with out committing a crime, claims on water don't matter because navigable water can't be privately owned.

What if you could aim at a moving target with your slingshot or fire-arm. There could be a penalty on hit chance based on how much the target has moved during the aiming animation so that fast targets would still have an advantage over slow ones (I still find very odd the way ranged weapons, other than braziers, are treated here).

Just give us caltrops to protect our claims.

We did try really hard to make traps a thing. Its a tad complicated from a design perspective, and something we reserve the right to tackle later but it didn't make the roadmap.
