This!
Sounds pretty awesome actually, would be easily visible where you buried something until it's grown over again, which takes lots of time, and I'd say anyone digging in the exact right spot should be able to find it.
I like the idea of raiders digging up places while trying to find the big loot that might not even be there! :D
Need something? Here is my Shop (Including some useful info for new/returning players at the bottom of the first post)

Precisely my point.
I don't make a threat to cry in... its not my idea to ask this question.
I pointed what i didn't like and ways it can in my opinion be improved. If you don't agree with me just ignore it and do nothing if you like any of those ideas please make use of it.

@Rubberduckbandit
somehow i think you didnt read my post
perma death = ok
full loting = ok
getin robed = ok

On the other side...
No Information AND FAST/EFFICIENT/SUCCESSFUL way to protect yourself feels bad even if its my(or any player in this situation) own fault
It may be a reason for many people to quit knowing(or at last thinking its true) that you can never have anything safe in this game.

But you can never have anything safe in this game ¦]
You used to be able to keep things safe by making an alt and log it out for eternity but not anymore. I think the point devs is trying to make is that this game have no safe place. Even Providence kills. I agree on other points though, just not this and the safe trade. They are out of context.
Edit: Forget the church. But that's pretty much it.
You thought I quit.

You have a point, some kind of grace period or noob island where players can learn the ropes would be nice because this game has a big learning curve due to lack of information minus the wiki.

I think that will just give them a false feeling of security.

FAST/EFFICIENT/SUCCESSFUL way to protect yourself? Sure, you just ruined 99% of the game. A large part of the game is never being entirely safe...
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Yes this is a bad suggestion, but that's not the part to focus on. I choose to see almost everything he said as a request for more information rather than changing core mechanics.

Just a reminder as it seems this thread is getting off track: we're trying to gather information about the first 30 minutes of Salem. Or at least the very very early game, however long that may be.

We're trying to write a tutorial that will inform new players about the game enough so that they don't feel completely lost and confused when they start playing. It's clear we need to explain about Inspiration, Studying, Skills, Increasing Proficiencies, Humor Regen, Gluttony, Crafting, Structures, how to use Objects, Biomes, and a few other things. But what are we forgetting? What game basics are we so familiar with that we don't even remember having troubles with them when we were new?

How to walk with no path finding?
How to turn off isometric view and use free cam?
How to swim over water?
You thought I quit.
