I think I'm going to try to put in inspiration values. However due to purity these will be very slightly approximate - probably rounding error of a few points. Is that ok?

Also, can we get a new template for the food? I think it needs ranges [min-max] for each bile (and an average would also be useful, perhaps), instead of the current gluttony matrix. Of course its kindof complicated since it now depends on what precise ingredients are used (a little), so maybe there is good reason to wait.. I could start to fill in things using just oatmeal though, if that would be helpful.

I'll see if I can come up with some meaningful food template today or tomorrow

OK, it looks like there is actually a NewFood template somewhere, that people have made changes to - I'll try to do some work on the inspirations first anyway.

NewFood template is clearly not finished/crappy/improvable , but my wiki-skills are pretty low. You're all welcome to change it

No, I'm impressed that you are making it :)

I changed the inspirational table to include inspiration used and uses - since I've never edited a wiki before, it could be some horribly ugly hack. It makes the table super wide as well, so idk if I should just remove it again. But it will be useful for people looking for pages that still need updating, I was thinking...

I've changed the template a little. I think, before we prepare section for ingredients, we should first figure out how food works with different ingredients:
- do specific ingredients give multiplicative bonuses, like +10% to all gluttony values? Additive?
- do specific ingredients always give the same type of bonus, regardless of food recipe, like deer meat increasing all gluttony values by 10% and giving "restores pies by 25% (10%)" (made-up example) to all foods applicable, like humble meat pie, garlic spitroast, etc.? Or it different for each type of food?
- in case of dishes like humble meat pie, where you can have 2 types of meat - is there a difference if shreds / cuts are, for example, deer / beaver versus beaver / deer, respectively?

It's just my opinion but :
- do specific ingredients give multiplicative bonuses : no they just give some other bonus/malus. When you watch "Humble meat pie" posted here by Bearcub : base OATMEAL recipe gives the 4 first lines (my bet is the 4 one is the oatmeal but no proof). Two last ones depends on the meat (restores berries for rabbit , restore pie for deer , restore slugsBugsKritter for timber rattler).
- do specific ingredients always give the same type of bonus for me yes . Oatmeal always give Restore 5% meat , Deer always restore pie ...
- is there a difference if shreds / cuts are, for example, deer / beaver versus beaver / deer No

And I add from your wiki modification :
- unified food category debuffs(restore+reduce) You should not , I split it yesterday because some recipe give reduction AND restoration , for exemple in Bearcub screenshots : Humble Meat pie made from oatmeal , deer , bunny : Reduces Pies with 25% (90%chance) AND Restore Pies by 25% (10% chance).

I agree completely with min/max gluttony , at the end we will want a table comparison for every food and that will make it easier. But I have absolutely NO idea how to make that when there's variable recipe. The function #ask seems not the good one (it compares wiki-pages , but we have more than one recipe on the page).

I don't think it's recipes themselves, but rather particular ingredients add those restoration bonuses.

how did i not notice that inspiration was the sum of the profs  thanks procne!

also, I'm not sure why but the uses is showing up with a link attached - can someone tell me why (so I can avoid this in any future attempt to edit stuff..)

@Procne : Ok. You want to split the recipe part and the "made from" part. In that case I think that all reduction comes from recipe , and all restoration comes from ingredient. The problem in splitting recipe and ingredient seems for me to be the gluttony value which change (a little) with the ingredient : see Bearcub figures for Yellow biles Cabbage rolls , and it's really hard to say now if "bear meat" add a yellow biles multiplier , or of it's just for this recipe no ?

@_Gunnar : No idea sorry.

Edit from reading again Bearcub really good thread and Vigilance Frikadel and steaks:
From 4 incomplete recipes (a really representative sample ¦] )
- Rabbit meat would give : Restores Berries by 25% (25% chance) ; and multiplier 1.05 on Blood Gobbling
- Beaver meat would give : Restores Crustacea by 10% (60% chance) ; and multiplier 1.1 on Blood Gobbling
- Bear meat would give : multiplier 1.15 on yellow bile Gobbling , multiplier 1.15 on Black bile Gobbling ; multiplier 1.05 on Blood Gobbling ; multiplier 1.15 on phlegm Gobbling
- Turkey meat : Restores Food by 20% (20% chance); multiplier 1.05 on yellow bile Gobbling
- Deer meat : Restores Pies by 25% (10% chance)
- Snakes meat : Restores Slugs , Bugs and Kritters by 20% ( 10% chance) ; multiplier 1.1 on yellow bile Gobbling

No idea if we can make a generalization for every food , no idea on missing values ( mostly phlegm and black bile)
