[Wiki] Wiki Suggestion thread

instead of starting a new discussion thread on the Template:Food page, I was going to put this suggestion here:

Personally, i'd be pretty interested in also seeing the variance of foodstuffs, and being able to sort on that. I'd implement it myself, but since it's a pretty major update (affecting a very large part of the current wiki pages) I figured i'd ask about it here, first.

Any ideas on the matter/suggestions for metrics better than variance?

I tried to edit this page to make Plymouth Rock but it doesn't work - is there anyway to create a new page?????
This is my first time and I'm very frustrated, I have all the stats & images ready to go, but can't seem to get a new page saved anywhere!!!

yeah, you generally shouldn't need to edit the templates. i went ahead and rolled back your changes to it.

Just to get started with the wiki mechanics I wanted to edit the Last Update page.

Following the previous model, I wanted to include a link to this forum.
To avoid spaming I ran into a test where I need to select cats from dogs, I did it, press Submit, and I ran again into the same verification process.

Did I miss something, do I need special authorisation?

Its really annoying that rye flour and barley flour both redirect to the generic flour page, I want to look up what I can make using specific flours! I don't know if this is the same for other things.

ok, i've removed the redirects. make sure all baking recipes properly list the required flours please.
