1v1 i am confident my dual wielding pistolero would defeat any equally statted comparably geared melee character. it is very easy to dodge melee attacks and equally easy to utilize terrain to gain distance for reloads, the unarmed melee damage while not close to sword damage is still good enough to remain a threat when forced into melee, particularly since as you like to point out most people stack piercing defense.

Well considering you can lift and carry man sized rock boulders while killing crickets seems impossible with very low biles, I think loading two flintlocks seems pretty much possible ;)

I mean if I could carry a big granite boulder I should be able to wrestle with a BEAR :lol:
