Argentis wrote:Tips: If you are three players, each one can take care of one of the bellows for maximum efficiency. If you are alone don't try to put more than iron at the same time or you won't have time to hammer it at the trip hammer, it will turn to dross. However when you take out your first iron bloom, you can put another iron bar inside. This will allow you to chain hammer iron bloom as by the time you finish hammering one the iron bar will have turned to bloom.

Hope that helps.

We did one forge run yesterday with townie. the cost of makin 20 wrought iron was 22 pig iron and 300 coal, 20 iron to smelt, 2 for the tongs and 300 coal to keep it going. however we managed easily to use all three slots, as he operated with coal and i operated trip hammer. if you think of it, there is a way how you can use all 3 slots to smelt and have enough time to trip em all alone :)

so yeh, it's a 2 man job :)

if you insist doing it alone, then actually you can. just keep coal and iron storage close and work with smelting one bar at time to get hang of it and when you feel confident, there is enough time to operate it with 2 bars alone.

I'm not too sure about this idea. For one thing, Providence, in a historical context, was actually one of the few American colonies to outright ban slavery. They had a degree of moral principle to them. As for women being treated differently, I'd doubt who have female characters or females who actually play the game would appreciate it popping in. If you want to have historical accuracy, throw in some of the real people, events, and other things from that period of time.

Providence and the rest of Rhode Island was actually a very interesting colony; religious tolerance (even towards the Jewish and other minorities), progressive separation of church and state ideals, friendly relations with the natives, ext. and not to mention its founder, Roger Williams, could probably be considered one of the most moral men of the colonies. The dude was actually exiled from most of the colonial towns, including even Salem itself, for speaking out against what he believed was a corrupt English church. An interesting contrast and voice of reason against all the paranoia about witches and other stupid **** going on at the times.

Roger Williams was an alright dude, but no white colonist is without guilt for how things went down.
