I've noticed the search is case sensitive, rather annoying when you type out something in full and correct, yet it goes to the search page since you didn't think of figuring out which word had captial letters in them..

so I don't know if this has been covered all ready? didn't read the thread to be honest, but I guess setting the setting mentioned here http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:$wgCapitalLinks, should allow those slight typing "errors" when searching for something to be ignored (Implicit redirects)
Though I am a bit doubious about the Warning in there, php and webstuff isn't anything I'm familliar at in the slightest just editing wikis.

I noticed this too just a little while ago, but decided to wait on a comment

Seems there are certain articles that I've searched on that just doesn't coexist with the search function properly.

ear of cereal is one, and I didn't write down the others I've hit over the last few days, but there has been some,

That articles text portion starts with; Ear of Cereal.., it was originally clamped as a link, to itself though it showed as regular bold, I thought that may have been the issue, so I changed it to the regular !!! bold, but it didn't seem to make a difference. If you search for it in all lower case, you get thrown to the search page, though showing the proper results of course, but to get there directly you have to use upper case on Ear and Cereal, why Cereal has a capital letter in the first place I don't know, but it's probably something I missed in English class. My grammar isn't the best as you may see, but I digress..

oh, i understand now. you're talking about the "go" button / pressing enter after entering a term. I'll see if this http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:TitleKey will take care of that. i have to upgrade to the latest version first.
