There should be some server wipes... the devs dont realize that nobody wants to suck some small MM ***** so they can craft ****... what a ***** joke for new players, I feel bad and wish I could give out my homestead secret so people can play protected but I don't trust anyone.

Server wipes would solve the problem for a week, after that we would have the same "problems" again.

3 Servers.

I fail to see your point, also as another player just said, a server wipe would not change much over the long run.

If you want "balanced" PvP, check out the variety of MOBAs out there, FPS, or RTS games. MMOs will never present balanced PvP. There's just too many variables and something will tip the scales.

With all games there is always 1 class "better" at pvp depending on the patch. Salem isn't going to be any different.

this is only true for MMOs with classes.
Counter example is obviously EVE - which was dominated by a small group for years as well. All we need is a proper population and things will get interesting again. Even though i believe this game could learn a thing or two from EVE, especially when it comes to sieges.

But you have faction ships, each which provides a unique style of play, and yes, the balance between these different ships and fight styles is constantly shifting. Lack of character classes doesn't mean you have a lack of things that can become imbalanced through design tweaks.

I do like the perma death BUT the knocked out is extreme. 24hrs? I love that you are penalized for stealing but I had to create an alt so that I wasn't banned from playing. You don't want players to not be able to do ANYTHING for 24hrs. They will leave and not come back and play. Or, have I encountered a bug?

OR you could, like, not trespass until you have enough BBile to do whatever it is you were there to do. Criminal Acts is a toggle for a reason. Besides, what's the purpose of just trespassing if you're not passing through?

"But Mr MagicMan, sir, what if they get rid of it until skill X is learned?"

"Son, take a look at House of Burgesses. Let me point you at a couple of threads there where people have walled off the starting city. Almost any newbie can run across a narrow claim if there's a hole in that wall. (Well, newbies don't usually have the "Run" ability, but you get my idea.)"

To note: the better solution is to just use the free wilderness teleport out. Recently, claims were changed to require a padded space between any two claims, however, claims still in existence and being kept up will still present problems. Otherwise, I can't see any reason right now why that couldn't be implemented.

So far...
when raiding system is unbalanced...
and when there is no space for casual players...

You have to cheat the system a little bit, what is not forbidden - it's allowed.
Use alt vault, wait for better time. OR they will understand that no commercial game will survive on nolifers, or salem will end like HnH with bunch of addicts crying for revive it from dead.

I'm playing, even nolifing here, I'd even support it with money but they don't accept normal payment methods, but I think that salem is quite unique and deserves hard work to get in playable shape.
