Isn't it already pay to win anyway, for example the Memento Mori proves that already.

If it had wear for example I would need one every week, which is indirect $20 dollars from me alone. Surely it should benefit the raiders, otherwise such expensive item with wear would certainly not be worth it.

I hardly see murder as pay to win. Pay to be a criminal maybe. Characters as you know very well as easy to make. Towns are a bigger investment. You just want a easier time raiding places.

How is raiding pay to win then, with the current mechanics on providence most buildings and objects stay intact after a raid and all you get is some loot or kills.

The suggested increasement is relatively slim and woudn't do much other than increase the circulation of goods in game and save me a couple hours per week.

Selling Murder in the shop is not Pay to Win because anyone can get Murder abilities in the game with a little more work. It's 'Pay to be Lazy' and that's what we try to keep it at when it comes to shop items.

All the profession packs so far just have little bonuses to the items that you can get without those items. The garden shovel gives an extra plant, but you can up your proficiency instead. The Miasma Mask is just a cooler looking plague doctor's mask. The hellfire tongs don't wear out so they save you a little on metal. None of that gives a true advantage.

A hammer that makes destroying faster will give a clear advantage of speed to a raider and it's not something that you could get in game anyway. I don't raid myself, but is it not true that the damage cap is still in place? You reach a certain level of humors and you can't destroy any faster no matter how high your humors go, so this hammer would not be balanced. And though it's true someone could steal it from you and then become a faster raider themselves, it still feels too much like an advantage. I don't think John will go for this. I really hope he won't.

Underlined part is what makes this sentence false.

Just because something is accesible outside the shop doesn't make it not pay2win. If the amount of effort needed to get the stuff outside the shop is disproportionally higher than the price of the item then it practically makes it inefficient to get the through other means than buying it.

i like the idea.

it seems right to me that we use a tool rather than our bare hands to attack walls and buildings.

a lot of people seem to have missed that it is not supposed to only be a store thing, but there should be lesser tiers made from i assume steel and iron etc also. if people don't like the idea of any of it coming from the store, how about leaving a steel hammer as the best?

naturally as a raider i would like walls to be less slow to break down, it can get pretty damn boring. it wouldn't take a massive speed difference to make it important to use the tool to bash stuff anyway. even if it would become slower to bash a wall without a tool, and the tool would just allow us to maintain current speeds i'd still be happy.

So basically pay-to-win hammers?

Also, a stone hammer is the best hammer? Shouldn't stone be the worst hammer?

Ok then, handsaws are also pay to win then.

They give a clear speed advantage just like the hammer, and there is also ones you can craft so you don't have to pay for them, just like the hammer.

But anyway, I think if JC is gonna add 2 more types of wall, then raiding should be made much easier, because it would bring more drama, paranoia, insecurity and tears.
