Your picture is not possible in the new system.

Threat neutralized :).

Fine, fine. Still worried about it being grindfest, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you've earned by now with very good patches so far :) But just know that if it sucks donkey bottom, I'll be forced to pout and slowly lose enthusiasm and end up playing less because I'd rather Salem stimulate my creativity than my nolifing ability.

And yet a lot of newbies were still spamming braziers with the old system, and just placing them randomly. The spacing needed was a bit like ... Foamy the squirrel's suggestion that you take the warning label off things. It at least encourages you to care enough to document yourself about what is best for your base, and place walls in accordance with the optimal brazier layout. Make sure you won't have to drop a brazier offclaim cause the walls aren't a multiple of 22-23 apart. There were a lot of tiny things that didn't require a genius to figure out, but that did make it so that untrained monkeys wouldn't be able to faceroll braziers into every nook and cranny and still win at Salemlife.

Edit: I'll just leave it at we'll see :P Managed to stay optimistic under the Jorb&Loftar period, so can't see why it'd be any harder to do now.

Yes, the current system is ****. It will also be nice if we can increase our defenses without creating open sprawling bases filled with unused space.

This is good to hear, if your confined to static defenses is this a design choice or more a technical/manpower limit as mobile defenses (guard dogs) are just Sooooo much more of a challenge to do properly with the AI and pathing and the like?? While I think they can be worth the effort because movement just adds so much depth to everything, I can understand if you would want to fully explore and utilize the static defense design space first.

We have not been shy about our affinity for low-hanging fruit.

AI complete with the ability to navigate a base while understanding which base, player, & claim it belongs to is certainly not something that wouldn't come at a sacrifice to many other things on our list.

It can be in the 2016 Nice Thing Bucket.

I can't wait to build a dog wall. Could you at least make it early 2016.

New System > Old System > Current System

You'll see a lot of steps that looks like old system on the way to the new system. Being penalized for building more braziers never sat right. Players who invest more in their defenses should and will be better protected than those who do not.

Great brazier walls return.
