This has come up a couple of times previously. One suggestion was for making the avatars larger in some way (taller, fatter, stronger). I'm with Dallane on the latter half of his post. This is how most people get in bar fights when they're drunk and get their asses kicked. Cause people just don't realize that the big guy at the end of the bar can't fight, but the scrawny metrosexual guy is a black-belt in some martial art. (Inb4 nao comes around looking like a noob and kicks everyone's ass.)
I am a moderator. I moderate stuff. When I do, I write in this color.

Hmm...

Yeah there is probably some truth to that. I think the most that would be worth considering would be making you smell of Criminal for longer based on the disparity of levels, or perhaps just because the character is only so many hours/days/whatever old, or below certain humors.

It would discourage people wantonly ganking people they don't really profit from hassling anyway. I figure if your character is walking around beating up the equivalent of small, hapless children, he deserves some notoriety, and people his own size (or bigger) being able to pick a fight with what is clearly a bored and unsuitably challenged person. (If they are having fun, too bad. They can have more Fun with a real fight.)
