IMO murder should drain 20-30% of BB and 10-20% YB (as skill cast cost), but not permanently.
To help newbies we need change in capital city claim mechanic to allow people run into it even while in combat...
and when char is on claim combat is dropped for both sides.

That would just make it harder to kill in evenly-matched combat or on a hostile claim. Evenly matched mortal combat is already too rare; imho, this should be the primary cause of death as it's by far the most exciting. Having to eat one more cake to regenerate doesn't really make newbie killing less attractive.

Could make the BB Loss work like:

You have 250 BB, you lose 10BB, but gain 10 BB towards your glutton total.. When you glutton, you glutton for 260. Next Murder, you glutton for 270, and so on. So if you murdered 20 noobs in a weekend at 250 BB, you'd be down to 50 BB, but have to glutton for 450. Which would count against your other glutton values.

Would only really work for random/grief killing. Would need a system in place for village vs village, alliance vs alliance, or it won't work, and just kill PvP.

Like dallane said, this wouldn't change anything. Low humour characters can have murder, so just go noob slaying on a low humour character and it wouldn't take much food at all to relevel the blackbile.

You'd still be wasting alot more food just to murder, and keep you BB above 0. Not a solution, more of an irritant..

BB is by far the easiest humor to level.

this entire thread and all of the suggestions in it is some of the dumbest **** i have read since the last time leelee or darnok posted something. i highly doubt the developers would even be able to sniff enough glue to lower their brain cell count enough to implement something like this so i will not waste my time discussing it beyond what i just did.

This sounds really harsh. If you kill a little too often your character would effectively become unplayable.

Could do that, but your murder character would be easy pickings if they ever came across a non-newbie character. Heck, I could effectively defend my crafter from that. Also, gluttonizing your BB back up every kill is probably less effort than training a second murder guy (unless you're really dedicated to noob hunting), which is kind of the point. A random kill now and then shouldn't be a problem, but if you go out of the way to exterminate everyone you come across, those BB drains start to add up.

Sounds like Darwoth fears for his BB when he's out butchering penniless 5-bile noobs who dare cross his wall. Actually stunts like those are exactly why I think having some cost to murder is a good thing.

both the servers i play i have numerous fighter characters, some with higher stats than others. the ones i play most only have around 60 to their stats, would not be much of a stretch to leave a few that way and just keep a few juggernauts for defending the fort or fighting veterans.

As stated this limitations do not really work since you can just have your alt.

As with many issues in this game the presence of alts is ruining it.
