There should 4 times more stalls than there is, with options to customise them with signs, for example tailor signs or blacksmith signs and the such, chuck in a stool so that a stall owner can actually sit inside thier stall with a little inventory and other purchase-able add-ons such as a built in anvil or loom. Then we would have a proper market!

Markets in the old days were not just about trade, they were social centres of commerce, thats why most of them were bang in the middle of town.

Good chunk of those stalls are owned by the people who run the active ones I'll bet. It happened like that on Plymouth too.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

Trade system is just poor and the containers thing is bad too. I don't see how it is game breaking to allow a way of doing secure trades in Boston. Boston is afterall supposed to be a bastion of law, if we cannot attack other players there, i don't see how it is fair to have a system designed to encourage scamming. Its not even scamming, its an insult to some of the great scams others have pulled in games over the years. Sure it works ok now as if i want to sell stuff i make a post on forum and if i want to buy i can buy from people off the forum. However, if the game ever gets anything resembling a decent population using the out of game forums will be a huge pain. It dosn't exactly help immersion either to have to minimise client and search an internet forum.

As for stalls, rather than the limited market stalls why not have an access menu available through the blue covered stalls that allows you to browse a large number of stalls. This way a large number of stalls can be available and maybe you can name your stall too.

scams are part of trading and the primary reason a good trade reputation is important, it is fine how it is.
