Quite offtopic -- But no not a large impact. It lacks the grandiose space opera larger then myself feeling... that makes EvE... well EvE

Time will tell if it'll come out some time in my near lifetime and if it's anything like Elite Dangerous.

It has been a little while since we have had an update. Something tells me JC is working on something nice. He already stated talking about massive raiding changes such as a potential raiding hut and other items. We have heard over and over again that he wants to push players to working in groups and not so many hermits which leads to more raid changes. I am confident he will come up with a raiding scenario that is not just standing at a wall for hours swinging at it and instead has more mechanics that would make a raid take as much time but provide actual things to do then just swing at a wall.

Which of the 4 do I not have to do?

Quit:

1. Create more grandiose defenses that nobody but 1% of the server has a prayer of breaching... ever

2. Adding phlem to routine stuff period. Mine Levels, Bellows for Wrought, etc... these are all making it harder for newer players to enjoy everything you have coded into the game. Again it's that 1% factor.

3. Making changes that only benefit the top 1%... until it benefits the top 50% or more. You appear to keep raising the bar as soon as anyone appear to threaten the top 1%... either make them immortal/gods... and move them all onto the dream world... where they can NEVER touch the physical one... or just stop already.

What they don't love you enough to keep playing if their status isn't handed to them? Seriously?

That would make one hell of a advertiser... "Come Join Salem, where the Dev protects his long term players by making them godly and you will have spend 100000 hours or $10000US to ever hope to compete?!"

This is the kind of argument that could be made- for 'protecting' the top 1% as you've been doing.

Exactly what did you think was going to happen when you made this change... Did you think it was going to bother the toon with 1000 humors or 150 humors? Seriously?! This is a no brainer!

[Special Note- seems only a few of the top 1% consult on the test server]

4. Creating store tools... and nullify all current store stuff.

It would hurt me... but if you were serious about your statement that you don't need any more monies; that the game could survive without a single dime forever... why sell store packages?

Drop them from the store... and remove all current store tools and/or nerf them.

i agree with this instead of increasing the phlegm requirements increase hitpoints so mid tier players have the ability to compete.
2. Adding phlem to routine stuff period. Mine Levels, Bellows for Wrought, etc... these are all making it harder for newer players to enjoy everything you have coded into the game. Again it's that 1% factor.
the mining issue is real and it sucks and it only affects the newer players it should be looked into again maybe mining set increases purity of boulder but drastically increases phlegm usage?
3. Making changes that only benefit the top 1%... until it benefits the top 50% or more. You appear to keep raising the bar as soon as anyone appear to threaten the top 1%... either make them immortal/gods... and move them all onto the dream world... where they can NEVER touch the physical one... or just stop already.
thoughts on 1 and 2 would fix this

also about the test server how does the player base log into it? if it is a select few with their own agenda's that is a large issue. i would suggest open the test server up too who ever wants to spend the time finding bugs testing new content and giving feedback ONLY on the forums open for all too see what is being discussed.

People can't unless JC makes a account for them. Test server is extremely volatile and literally no one plays on it. It's just a playground to JC to fiddle around with what he is creating. Almost anything can crash the test server from what I remember. No one has any advantage with the test server and no one is given any insider knowledge. If you want to find bugs and test content then play the game and give GOOD and KNOWLEDGEABLE feedback.

Wait is Frakked asking for defense nerfs or is he asking for defense boosts.

Kinda hard to figure that out, if he's asking for nerfs then I am laughing out loud.
