Would agree with this statement if the walls would be nerfed with atleast a factor 10x. It is currently very nessesary, back in the days walls were a factor 10 weaker and repairing woudn't be as bothering to attackers.

I think at this point we should agree to a moratorium to this and other similar discussions until we see what exactly J.C. has been working on to remedy the current situation. If for instance, we can assume that lockpicking is going to be a Thing, along with whatever exactly stealth is, I would suggest starting work on building the necessary profs on whichever character you dub best for such duties.

(Cloak and Dagger would make a lot of sense for this sort of thing, although both might have secondary requirements associated with metalworking/stuff associated with tracking, like maybe hunting?)

We'll see.

im just throwing this out there but ... granite quarrying could be adapted to work in mines also. Would put a little bit more granite on the market.

In most cases, you're better off simply planning out your base better and then upgrading your stone wall to a plank one.

Besides, a stone wall really only offers a false sense of safety. Which could be said all the way up to a brick wall.

If someone wanted to break into your place, a stone wall would certainly NOT stop anyone other than noobs.
