:geek: Good idea. Where did you get the inspiration for this?

+1 for this idea, nicely thought through.

If it simplifies implementation, the 'tools' themselves could always be implemented separately as player equippables, with the desk itself later becoming the toolbelt for them as well as the storage unit for the inspirationals themselves. Eg next week's mini patch brings you the magnifying glass, which when equipped in your left hand increases inspiration gains on flora and fauna. No need for it all to be released all at once, that would be alot of work, bits and pieces here and there would be just fine :)

Hmmm.. Both of these ideas would require a fair amount of work.

Very rarely do I feel its worth it, but in this case I think this adds some very nice dynamics to the study and inspiration systems without undermining it.

I'd love this!
Much as I would like it, though, I suppose summing uses will not be an option due to it saving so much space and the items never being able to be taken out (i.e. for criminals). Sure, you couldn't store pearls in there if you can't take em out, but why the hell wouldn't I store 100 ghostriders in it, saving me huge amounts of space?
Still, it would make for a nice end-game efficiency mechanic, I think.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
