So far, these two features together create a boring game of nothing to do. In a couple minutes your out of points with a 3 hour gluttony cool down, with crates full of inspirational and food. I am encouraged to play for 5 minutes and log off for the day, therefore I have to say so far. These features really suck, perhaps with higher black bile the inspirational points will recover faster for more playability, as far first starting out. NO, it totally sucks.
Since I previously specialized in food production as farming/cooking and such goes, the future is dead. Players will only consume a small fraction of what they did before. As far as I can tell of all the other features, everything looks great so far and I really love many of the new features.
The problem is of course what everything leads to, raising biles and profs that's what we work for. I don't know about you but I enjoy advancing my biles and profs... Thus these limits makes the game itself very boring and slow now.
I don't know if the intent was to slow people down on advancing their characters in thinking that the longer it takes the more they will play? Maybe it was to give someone who plays for 5 minutes a day compared to someone who would play for hours on end, like myself a advantage of maintaining equal development to those who actually like playing the game? I don't know what the intent was and can only speculate, but it makes me want to quit and play a different sandbox.
So, those who like these limits I am sorry, I for one, say they serve no purpose, they discourage game play by reducing how much you can do. I am not having any fun playing with these limits as there is nothing you can do in the meantime during the cool-downs or regenerations. Just for example, with only 10 black biles it will take you over 3 hours to study a singing log , but there's hope! At 20 biles it only takes over 2 hours and 20 minutes...So I have written it down in my book of stupid with all the things i have done while drunk.
I vote to completely eliminate the limits....or introduce a system to like donate inspirationals to the church for points on top of the regen...or something. Also, maybe have phlegm usage reduce the "Full and Fill" cooldown. Only makes sense if your "working" your going to get hungry.
I am considering leaving Salem for these reasons and I am sure many others will, since there are many new features to explore I think its too early to tell the impact it will have on the playerbase, the new stuff can be exciting to work with...for now.
I just want to play, not stand around in boston listening to area chat while i wait to be able to do something. I know many of the older players who use to play many hours now don't, including myself. If this is the intent of the limits I have to say the feature is a great success. As far everything else goes, so far it has been great. However, even with the new features the limits is a game breaker for me, doesn't matter how good they are if you can't play the game.
To sum things up from what i said above...I don't like it and will not stay with Salem with it. As simple as I can make it. So, I hope it changes, if not, I can not see myself staying as active player in a game with no activity.
On the positive side for those who don't have a lot of time, these limits help you not fall behind your friends as far as advancing skills and biles.
