That doesn't sound like Jorbtar. Try afking with a new character near a snake and see if it bites you within 5 minutes. You could just have been lucky.[/quote]
I was all over multiple snakes at once (even stood next to curled up resting snake) - they were RUNNING from me!?

I was paddling on a lake, in a canoe, while carrying a boat. Then lost all my chit to lag!

Do you really want to be a good girl?

Snakes run away just like ever other animal now. They do still agro sometimes. Seems to happen more often to me when I'm moving. But since it's so easy to outrun them, I've never understood how people have trouble with them in the first place.

I just started and I have terrible trouble with snakes. I tried clicking them with stomp and it doesn't initiate an atatck. And the distance they will chase you is ridiculous... They chase you for miles and miles including magically jumping up cliffs while you have to climb them.

This isn't like your typical MMO where mobs have fixed spawn spots and all that. You have to actually break combat. Sometimes that means taking a swim, using Run (not walking) away, etc. It's not always easy.

Stomp is a very bad way to aggro a snake. Most of the time when you stomp near an animal, it creates aggro, the target(s) attack, and then the stomp is interrupted. In the case of snakes, this is a guaranteed way to get poisoned. Use a slingshot or firearm instead.
