Yeah, I didn't think much about it until Dallane said something, so thought I'd explain what I was thinking. :)

I personally found that havens system while originally designed to be stationary and against a single opponent very quickly was adapted to work brilliantly and dynamically in group engagements and moving fights, of course a lot of that system would had to be retained for it's proper implementation into Salem, this also gives people a lot of "technical mechanics" to worry about as well as a lot of statistics, of course it varies from person to person how much you are in favour of this, but it really did open up some quite amazing fights in haven.

I figured as well that if the devs actually implement it a tad more intentional this time, there might be more interest from the community of learning a sort of "movement combat" rather than half the community frowning upon it, and the other half having non-consentual copulation with their enemies.

I think you should be able to just click on people to challenge them to a Rock Paper Scissors deathmatch. That would really simplify things and solve all balance problems. Of course you'll still get complaints about
"OMG Nerf Scissors! I was totally doing paper and beating everybody and then someone comes and scissors me and it's game over! Fix ur gaem!"

I don't know the solution, but I do know the current 'combat' system even in PvE is buggy, twichy crap.

I'm hesitant to say "it can't get worse!" but... I am tempted to say that.
