I was just thinking about this the other day. I really really like this idea but I don't like the idea of raiders having more of a financial incentive to actually rip down a base.
I then came to this conclusion.
What if you could "salvage" an item that could do nothing other than slightly change the graphic on the same structure in your own base. Here is how it would work:
I rip down your breadoven. I get a "Charred Loaf of Bread". I can then "hang" this burned loaf (like a stocking) from my own bread oven.
I rip down your farmers house. I get "singed hay rooflining". I can then change the graphical color of my farmers house to singed/ember color on my own farmers house.
The idea here is
#1: This eliminates the complaint that people have that once you have EVERYTHING in the game why raid? Well now there IS a reason to raid for items you can ONLY get through raiding but don't change the balance directly.
#2: You can easily identify a raider base as their structure will all have the different "trophies".
#3: This shifts the emphasis from taking you for all you got to ripping down the structures they want as trophies.
Keep in mind that this idea works once they double or 4X the hitpoints on STRUCTURES. They should be MUCH harder to take down than they are now.
