I think it would be nice if purity didnt have an associated multiplier, and just improved the "consistency" of the event. This would make a much lower cap, and would also make non-farmed food competitive in the "endgame". However considering the amount of rebalancing that would be required I can't honestly say I've thought about it enough, but the current system isn't really that wonderful imo.

Totaly agree with _Gunnar... Dallane if you think that the main aim of this game is to get to humour cap limit as much chars as you can by using high purity crops ONLY, its not how it should look like in my and, probably, in developers perception...
What happens now is: people grow high purity crops and than cook high purity food to increase humors and this process repeats 1000 thousands times unlessyou get humours hit the cap limit. So what is the point to gather berries or mashrooms or hunt animals if you cant advance in that because its just enoguh to have high purity fields (you probably have to add some other collectable ingridients to cook high purity food but even meat is not the base for high purity food but only high purity crops are, which, by the way, is easy to grow and easy to cook in big amounts (tested by me) - that is total unbalance)

No one should be concerned with Balance if the underlying Gluttony mechanic is not Fun and in my opinion it ain't. Maybe it's past the point of no-return in the development process and Paradox is going to make the Devs kick the game out the door on schedule regardless of if its done or not, but that is not the standard we have come to expect and I think everyone wants the game to work and I think the Devs are willing to keep experimenting with things until they get it right as they how done with the Inspiration system.

To start off with I would get rid of this "Click fast and Pray" high pressure Interface, you have people accumulating these food reserves and then going into Gluttony mode praying that they aren't going waste all the food involved by running out before they hit a stat. It's just a terrible interaction, lots of potential losses on the players part with virtually no control other then to abort half way though and guarantee a loss. And their is just way too much on the screen whizzing around, your humor bars growing and shrinking, Alchemical ratio graph things that are gone in a flash, its like I'm playing a slot machine. If this was "Salem the Casino Gambling MMO" that would be fine but it's not, its Salem the Crafting MMO and Gluttony should have a pace more like the methodical calm and strategic mood of Inspirationals.
