Yes, there are methods, but most of them require installation of additional software or doing rather complicated tricks. So having such simple feature out of box would be much better opportunity

Even if devs decide to rewrite their comunication protocols to use HTTP (lol), comunication with server still might be blocked by the proxy.

Your admins simply don't want you to play Salem. It's not really up to devs to circumvent your network security :/
