house upgrading

Postby reeper_aut » Sat Nov 07, 2015 12:51 pm

just thought about houses and furniture.
it would be nice if we could upgrade houses from one to the next.
e.g. a pilgrims hovel to a farmer house.

why that?
well, for once you can work on the upgrade and don't have to move stuff out and in again.
second some of the furniture can't be dragged back into a house, if it is left over when you destroy the old one. so there is no more need for that.
and then you may not see ppl jumping from a pilgrims hovel to a town house just because there is no real reason for any in between.
might have "2 paths" one with wood (wooden town house as the endpoint) and a brick one.

personally i would like to see more different types of houses on the build list. such like the shop type from providence, the bank or some one story brick building
another thing that might add to that, that you are able to add a side building to an existing house. maybe only for town houses

as for production buildings like the windmill it would be nice to have upgrades too.
like upgrading a windmill with a grinder (stone or copper) to be able to mill bones in the windmill too. (or at least have a speed boost on grinder)
or maybe linking a windmill to a finery forge for a constant stream of air. (i know that partially contradicts what you had in mind with the forge, just an example so you'd get the idea)

i LOVE this Idea and have a few more

Allow us either a "Shop House" in our town or a own stall for bases or outside that arent connected to providence to have ppl shop in our base

these 3 buildings would be nice for the look

(top left) (the one we have 3 times on the screen) (the postmaster building)

also npc that we could recruit that sell stuff or anything or let us hire cheap horses (what did became of the idea of letting us store our horses for animal husbandry patch JC?)

yes more upgradable, decorative and usefull stuff for towns would be nice.

how about a stall IN providence for towns that can be worked by several ppl, instead of just 1?

and a bill-board for towns as well, plz! (use a paper to leave a notice)

I wouldn't mind having the stall connected to a town bell. So if the mayor owns a stall he can check in the town setting to allow citizens to operate stall.
