If it is easier to autoshift in a 2nd client then it is called bad game design. Refer to Haven for all the tedious parts we bot to high hell.

It's a grindy process for a reason, because anything like you're suggesting would make the crucible and glassblower job useless after you've filled up a chest with all the bottles you'd ever need.

With that said however, I wouldn't mind having the current grindy process replaced with a somewhat similarly grindy process that offered some variation. For example: if the process of making glass bottles only gave you one glass bottle per glass, but you didn't consume the bottle when used as you suggested - however, after use you would need to clean the used bottle before being able to use it again where it would have a small chance for it to crack or break. If that happens it would have to be repaired at the crucible for one (if crack) or three (if broken) silicate compound(s). This would still be grindy, but more fun due to variation of grind and the crucible would remain useful.
