The having hidden caves would be fun but I see no reason they should require a wand to find, just allow players to have a new skill that give them the ability to actively search for caves, or add it on to forage, it would be fun to be out foraging and stumble across a hidden cave.

This I could get behind. Just the idea of caves being magical is what makes me think the idea was odd.
