Its the darn ugly little randomly placed terrain garbles that I hate, they are a ***** to remove because they often involve jutting little spires that need to be buried in x10 more soil then they actually contain in order to be removed. Hills and Ridges and little 'hogs-backs' would be much nicer to interact with as they would be more realistic and less frustrating. Also the requirement for pancake flatness for structures in quite silly, structures on slopped terrain have always been common. I suspect this was a contain that stemmed from bad model design that failed to have any model below the Z zero plane, any intelligently made building model always contains a 'skirt' below the ground to allow them to be placed on non flat areas.

That I agree with. Maybe the "cliff" portion of the map generator can be reworked a bit to avoid all these bits and pieces?

But what do you climb on when you are being chased by an angry turkey.

Keep the levels, make less "climbing" edge and more smooth transitioned higher/lower ground. Too much edges to climb is the trouble I hate facing.

This could be a better suggestion, not requiring us to level land for structures.
