Tables and chairs

Postby Rifmaster » Wed Aug 27, 2014 10:33 am

This day, i was feeling bored, so i made a sitting area under my maple tree, and a basket with my beetle john lennon right beside me.
Ofcourse this sitting area had chairs and tables! After that i wanted to chow down on something. I put all kinds of food in my swag table, sat down in my chair and couldn't right click the table.
This was very frustrating as you don't know how hard it is to slice a turkey in your hands and pockets!

So what i suggest is that when you sit down, on a chair that faces a table a tile or 2 away from you, you can eat the food inside that table, and i also think this should give certain buffs to the food, for example a simple table would give a 10% buff to all your gluttony food that is inside it, and a fancy old style table should give about 20 or 30%, maybe even make the tables have purity or something!

Please.. i really want you to add this...
I wanna eat a pie with my buddy after digging and building all day

You used to could sit at a table and all people sitting could see what was in the table. This was especially funny when you invited someone into your house and asked them to have a seat. I always had my special stuff people had made me. Ghost loaf from Martinuz, popcorn from queent8r, soap to wash up with from Blackmore, and a special hat from Wumpe. The list goes on. So yes I agree it needs to be fixed.

If your looking for Gluttony buffs, then I'd recommend the old 'Symbel' system form H&H get resurrected, items that get put on the table (displacing food) and which give buffs and wear out over time. But rather then just across the board buffs make them food type specific these would work to offset the debuffs we get while eating, some examples

Silver Gravy Boat: +25% Poultry
Carving Knife: +10% Meat
Wicker pot holder: +10% Vegetable

Bonuses don't stack and because your displacing food from the table their is a certain self-limiting nature to the system and a reason to 'set' the table appropriately given the types of foods that are being eaten.

I was just talking about this. Would be awesome to also have a bonfire like mechanic also.

I would also like to be able to put black olives on the ends of all my fingers by equipping them to my hand slot, olives will be sold in Boston in little tins for 1000s, be 100% pure Salt and will give Black-bile.
