Traditionally trash was thrown in piles outside the home. Archaeologists calls these middens or trash pits and they often used these to fill in low areas or swamps. I suggest a building called a trash pit resembling a coal clamp in size and shape that 30 of any item can be put into. Like a coal clamp it can be set on fire, but after it has gone out it can be dug and will give 20 fill, basically dirt that you can't turn into clay in a clay trough.
