"Restore" modifier tweak

Postby _Gunnar » Wed Mar 12, 2014 10:15 pm

Just a suggestion to increase the probabilities on the restore modifiers by a bit, or increase the number of these around.

At the moment they are kindof pointless, and its best to consume as little food in each session as possible, which you favours those who can be online all the time over those who could think of the best combinations to consume a lot of food in one session. I think increasing them would increase the level of skill involved, and mean that a player planning intelligently could eat quite a lot, relatively efficiently, in a single session.

But don't increase them too much, or the "game" is solved by alternating a small number of foods. You should have to eat several different things (that reduce different categories) to have a decent chance of restoring any particular category.

Maybe I will rethink all this once I've cooked with higher tier farmed stuff - tell me if those restore more things more please!

Not really; since the full-and-fed-up time lessens for each time you level up in a session, I'd like to think there are incentives to keep eating foods that can be eaten more efficiently than the time-multiplier.

Ahah! So that's the formula. I noticed I had less debuff later in a session, but I thought it was scaling down with the effectiveness of the food groups consumed.

ah, I thought the same thing as RonPaulFTW ;)

However, I'd still like the restore modifiers increased because its nice to succeed on die rolls and there would be even more of an incentive.

Explore the recipes more. For example wild berry pie with crow berries has an 80%+ restore event chance.
