Anybody got Enders Client running on OSX/Mac?

Hi,

I hope its okay to open a new post for this but I am so sick of running my VMware only for Enders client.

I managed to get the normal client running via using Java6 from command line on OSX (see other Mac thread) but I found now way to get Enders client running on latest OSX - neither with Java7 nor with Java6.
I also tried to do it via WINE but this did not work either. Multiple errors.. multiple fixes but in the end it did not work.

Thankful for any help!

Max

It's fine. Seems enough people are having issues that it needs its own discussion. It might be a good idea for anyone with problems to post what they have and haven't done to try and resolve them so there can be some collaboration.

I run Enders and I'm a 10.6.7. I'm not good at technical issues, but thought it might help you to know what I'm operating with. (My computer is about 2-3 years old and has a duo core)

Ender can help you if you pot in his thread (if you haven't already).

I run the game on 10.6.8 but my computer has not been well the past year so I don't know if the choppy game play has to do with the game, Ender's client (I can definitely not do any digging) or my tired 4,5 year old computer. Running iTunes 10 at the same time is a no-no. :|
I can farm, do hide working and cook. Everything else is done on the PC.

Running 10.6.8 on an old macbook pro. i also cant dig without the game becoming a slideshow. but other than that it runs fairly well.

Im a computer technician by trade, and know that some of the older Java webstart apps have issues with apples newest version of java, though i do not know specifically what/why.

It should be Java 6. I have Snow Leopard and it uses Java 6 as far as I know.

I'm running Enders Client on Lion on a Macbook Air 13" -- I use the command line to run the updater. Works great even with Chrome running with several tabs open.

I got ender's running on linux over the holidays (I had only a linux laptop :) )
It went off without a hitch, except that I had to compile it myself & download the dependencies seperate (i.e. jogl & gluegen)
if you're actively running linux, that shouldn't be a problem anymore :)

My status has changed. As of yesterday I can no longer run any of the clients on my beloved Mac.
